HP Pavilion dv7-1245dx

HP Pavillion dv7-1245dx comes with a sleek design and is smaller than the HP Pavilion dv5-1235dx. This laptop stands out because of the subtle bronze tint and cross-hatch patterns. The laptop’s long hinge makes it stand sturdy without wobbling.

If one is looking for a budget laptop then this is best choice as it comes with touch-sensitive media control system just above the keyboard. It glows either in orange or white depending on whether WiFi is on or off. There is also a volume slider to control the volume.

The 17-inch LCD wide display screen gives a 1440´900 resolution. The video quality is better but when it comes to typing or reading content, the glare is a hindrance. It has good quality stereo speakers, headphones and microphone jacks. It supports Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and provides for an optional WWAN.

The processor in it is 2.1GHz AMD Turion X2 Dual-Core RM-72. The RAM configuration is 4GB, 667MHz DDR2. The hard disk capacity is 320GB with 5400rpm. The chipset is RS780M. The graphics is provided by ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3200. Operating system is provided by Microsoft’s Windows Vista Premium. The dimensions are 15.6×11.2 inches and weighs 7.3/8.1 pounds. The optical drive uses Lightscribe DVD burner. It can burn even the grayscale text and images on the discs. The battery backup is 3 hours and 21 minutes. If one intends to exchange the desktop with a laptop then this is the best option.
