Digital camera batteries: always to be carried
We normally do not want to buy new digital camera batteries every now and then when our camera needs a power backup. For this purpose it is better to keep rechargeable digital camera batteries. They have become one of the most in demand accessory for a digital camera. The alkaline batteries run out of power very quickly, just after clicking a few pictures. They can not be relied upon in case of emergency, so try to keep batteries that can be recharged by electricity.
The rechargeable batteries were put in the market for use far back in the year 1859. It was invented by Gaston Plante. There are many types of batteries available in the market as digital camera batteries, but the ones that are highly used are the nickel – metal – hydride. It is so as they are not costly and also are eco friendly. You can recharge them up to 500 times.
If lithium-ion batteries are used they would not get discharged quickly. They are also easy to carry as they are light in weight and have more storage capacity. The digital camera batteries are capable of a charge for a longer time even if tried at high voltage. But these are very expensive.
There is a charger that you need to recharge the digital camera batteries. A charger must be such that can charge NiMH as well as NiCD batteries. It must be capable of switching off on its own when the camera batteries are completely charged.
