Tripod: Indispensable for camera
Tripod is particularly used to get both motion and still picture and prevent any movement while taking memorable photographs. Expert photographers often use heavy telephoto lens attachments and use a tripod to bring stability in their camera to get sharp and clear images. They are important requirements when slow-speed exposures are being made, or sometimes when telephoto lenses are used, as any camera movement when the shutter is open will deliver a blurred image. Further tripod reduces the camera shake, and thus is instrumental in grabbing maximum sharpness. Tripod is also cooperative in achieving precise framing of the image, or sometimes when more than one image is being made of the same scene, like for example while bracketing the exposure. In fact using of a tripod also signifies for a more professional approach towards photography. For all these reasons a tripod is often a necessity for professional and thoughtful photography as well as certain video uses.
Structure of a tripod is designed in such a manner that it will have the potentiality to deliver the photographs with maximum strength and stability. Almost all photographic tripods are braced around with a center post, along with a collapsible telescoping leg with a telescoping section at the top of the tripod which can be raised or lowered. At the top of the tripod there is the head, which consists of the camera mount. This allows the camera to pan and tilt. There are tripods which also have integrated remote control to control a camera, though it varies depending on the manufacturing company.
